If you find problem install mint from usb through advanced mode then reboot again.after booting from usb select install mint then press Tab key.you will got a command line already typed just you space then type nomodeset only.now enter you will booting to live mode.then you can find all drive mounted that you can install it to hard drive whichone is not mounted from advanced compatibility mode.
